Current Research Projects


We come from the Aachen university environment as a spin-off of the Fraunhofer Institute for Production Technology. Since our foundation we have remained true to science and are working on various research projects in the field of clamping and production technologies.


Active vibration damping for dynamic milling processes

In FixTronic, together with our project partners, we are developing a mechatronic clamping system that minimizes process vibrations and instabilities through active vibration dampening.



Tool clamping system 

for constant operation forces

In the HgroKa research project, we and our project partners are developing a tool clamping system for constant operation forces, which is used for reworking surfaces.



Toolholder clamping system 

with variable tool length

In Pinocchio, together with our partners, we are developing a toolholder clamping system with which the overhanging tool length can be varied as required without interrupting the CNC-machining process.



Clamping system for compensation of internal stresses

Clamping system for compensation of internal stresses

In the VoKoES research project, we are developing a hydraulic clamping system that can compensate for component distortion during the machining process of large and thin-walled components.
